COME JOIN THE CLUB

We get a lot of inquiries from people eager to learn about audio recording, which is a lucky thing because we love to share our space, our expertise, and our passion for recording any chance we get. So we’ve formed a club and you’re invited. Whether you're a seasoned pro, or just starting to explore music production, The Producer’s Club is here to give you the knowledge, skills, and experience you need to take your sound to the next level.

Classes are developed and led by our world-class staff of professional engineers and producers, including Jed Jones, Nate Pyfer, and Scott Wiley. Topics rotate regularly to accommodate different interests, schedules, and experience levels - something for everyone.

The Producer’s Club is a community. We love getting to know others who are as passionate about music and recording as we are. You’re invited to join us for occasional listening parties, gear auditions, potlucks, networking events, and plenty of shop talk. Special sessions will be offered from time to time with guest instructors including gear manufacturers, professional musicians, composers, songwriters, and other producers.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You will be a member of the Producer’s club when you sign up for your first course. Each $300 course covers a core concept and explores different levels and angles of that topic through a series of 4 weekly classes. Class capacity is capped for optimal learning and connection and taught on-site in one of the studios at June Audio. All Producer’s Club members are invited to exclusive special events and will get exclusive swag. Popular topics will repeat every few months, and new courses will be introduced monthly.

OUR INSTRUCTORS

Jed Jones is an Utah-based music producer, audio engineer and songwriter. After graduating from BYU’s Commercial Music program, Jed worked at a number of local studios before landing an internship at Electric Lady Studios in New York City. In late 2015, Jed returned to Utah and joined June Audio as a staff engineer and producer. His credits include Utah’s local talent and label acts such as Post Malone, The Killers, Lillian Hepler, The Aces, and I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME.

Nate Pyfer played bass in a ska band from 1998-2001 so you wouldn’t have to.

Since 2010 the Provo, Utah-based songwriter/producer has amassed more than 350 million streams on Spotify working with dozens of artists including Kaskade, Sego and The Moth & The Flame. His work has been featured in shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Sons of Anarchy and 13 Reasons Why as well as in ad spots for Google, Amazon and Xfinity. He’s also a seven-time fantasy football champion, MarioKart regional speed trial record holder, and (until recently) the oldest grandchild on both sides of the family. But that’s still a sensitive topic, so don’t bring it up…

Nate has performed in basically every state but Hawaii, the Dakotas (who cares) and Alaska, (although he has caught fish there so maybe that counts for something). He’s toured internationally in Romania, Japan, Canada and Iceland and played in world-class venues like San Francisco’s Bill Graham Auditorium, the Brooklyn Mirage, and the parking lot of a cowboy boot store in El Paso (which was hands down the best show on that tour).

In addition to making a shot-for-shot recreation of Kate Bush’s “Wuthering Heights” music video, Nate thinks AJ McLean is underrated and he thinks having your guitar in tune is overrated.

Scott Wiley is a music producer, engineer, musician and owner of June Audio Recording Studio with over 2.1 billion streams.. Scott studied music recording at USC and got to learn from some of the best producers and engineers in the industry during his years working in great Los Angeles studios like Sound Factory, Sunset Sound, Cello and Conway Recording Studios. As an engineer and/or producer for the last 30 years, Scott has worked with The Killers, Neon Trees, Bonnie Raitt, Kaskade, David Archuleta, Tracy Chapman, The National Parks and The Moth & The Flame among many others. Scott has also taught recording and music business classes at UVU and BYU.

All of our classes will be taught right here in June Audio. Studio 1, 2 and The House are all working professional recording studios with amazing sounding rooms and the best gear available.
